Postdoctoral Research Associate Positions (NIH-Funded) are available immediately at NYU Langone Health. We are actively seeking highly driven and motivated individuals to join our dynamic team. Our research focuses on the study of host resilience, nuclear receptors, and their roles in obesity-induced diabetes and diabetes-associated vascular complications. Our work involves exploring the impact of metabolites on protein post-translational and epigenetic modifications and their roles in regulating cell functions, lipid metabolism, glucose homeostasis, ferroptosis, and liver fibrosis within the context of metabolic diseases and diabetes-related vascular complications. We utilize tissue-specific knockout mice to investigate the dietary effects on the pathogenesis of various metabolic diseases, including vascular malformations, atherosclerosis, hepatic steatosis, liver fibrosis, hypertriglyceridemia, and insulin resistance. Meanwhile, our team collaborates closely with public health and clinical research teams to translate our bench discoveries to patient care.
Ideal candidates should have research experience in vascular biology, atherosclerosis, lipid biology, liver diseases, diabetes, microbiome, and epigenetics. A doctoral degree in life sciences and publications in international peer-reviewed journals are prerequisites. The research will involve working with conditional knockout mice, cell culture, molecular biology, biochemical techniques, bulk RNA-seq, and single-cell RNA-seq. We are at the forefront of incorporating artificial intelligence and machine learning into our bioinformatics analysis. As part of NYU Langone Health, one of the world's leading medical schools, we offer world-class research facilities to foster innovation. We provide a highly collaborative, warm, and friendly scientific environment, along with a competitive salary and benefits package as per NIH standards.
